Mamma Mia welcomes you to enjoy a truly Italian dining experience. Located on Royal Road in Grand Bay, close to Kapu Kai, we offer a splendid sea view as well a s a glimpse of Coin de Mire.

The owner and Director, Massimiliano Borrelli, offers typical Italian cuisine using the finest imported produce while still maintaining a balance of culture by utilising local, Mauritian fresh produce. Max opened Mamma Mia with the vision to replicate his restaurant that he has in the centre of Rome.

His restaurant, Bruschetteria Nonna Papera, has successful operated for the past fifteen years and he aims to raise Mamma Mia to the same level and ambience.

Our menu offers an array pizzas prepared by our Pizza Chef extraordinaire, Beppe. With his vast knowledge of flavour and presentation, we are fast becoming known for our fabulous pizzas.

We offer a multiple of pastas and recommend Max’s signature All’amatriciana which is perfect with rigatoni pasta cooked al dente.

We also offer a number of classic Italian antipasti’s such as Capresse with Bufala Mozzarella, insalates and main courses including our decadent grilled beef fillet with blue cheese sauce. There is sure to be something for everyones tastes. All our desserts are homemade with great love and care by Max.

We are open for both lunch and dinner. Enjoy a leisurely lunch watching the catamarans sailing by or join us for a festive or romantic dinner. We are ideal for familes as we have a childrens corner. Our traditional Chianti bottles used as candle holders set the scene at night by illuminating Mamma Mia in golden hues.

Mamma Mia offers value for money, a wide array of dishes and daily specials to ensure you are always able to try something new and interesting. All our prices are VAT included so you dont get any nasty surprises with the bill. To end your dining experience we offer Lemon Cello, a home prepared lemon digestive, prepared by Max himself.
